’I’ve been coming here for 4 years or so. I lost my permanent accommodation because of rent assistance paperwork delays and administrative errors with Centrelink. I’d spent 7 years furnishing the place, and filling it up, and I got it just right, just perfect. But I had nowhere to go, I couldn’t take it with me, so I gave everything away. All I could carry was the clothes on my back and a few bags. I haven’t had a permanent address since 3 May 2011. I’ve been flying by the seat of my pants for 6 years now. My goal is always to find somewhere to live. I have a home for a month now.’ Malcolm, client. Liberation Larder….sharing the stories of our clients, donors and volunteers.
