Paddock to Plate is a concept that resonates deeply in the Byron Region. Our farmer’s markets and plethora of local producers are testimony to the agriculture capacity of the region but also to local consumers who support local growers, producers and value adding businesses.

The Northern Rivers Food group is hosting a special event at the Eltham Hotel for anyone interested in food (or agriculture) to attend.

Great Local Producers Speaking

“From Paddock to Plate” brings together 5 of the regions most innovative and successful producers to talk about how they got started, some of their triumphs and challenges and what’s involved in getting their produce from Paddock To Plate.

Speaking at the even are:

  • Rebecca Zentveld, Zentveld’s Coffee
  • Kerry Wilson, Nimbin Valley Dairy
  • Frank Boyle, Nimbin Valley Pecans and Rice
  • Donner Harper, The Witches Broom Stick
  • Damien Dougherty, Bangalow Sweet Pork

Something For Everyone

While the event has been put on by Northern Rivers Food to support and grown the industry, there is something for everyone. Whether you’re a mad foodie, a grower, a prospective grower, chef or in any way involved in the Paddock To Plate supply chain, this is one “do” you won’t want to miss.

Very Affordable

This informative session and celebration of local food will be held Monday, 18th November at a favourite foodie haunt, The Eltham Hotel
from 4.30pm. The cost is a very reasonable $10 per person and bookings are essential.
